Founded in 2011 by James Lindon, Lindon & Co., is a leading Global art dealership and advisory business based out of London. We have architected and nurtured over 20 exceptional, international art collections of post-war and contemporary art, with deep networks and relationships particularly in the Middle East and North America.

Art historical scholarship, curatorial assignments and exhibition-making is also central to our project, and we have engaged thoughtfully in the fascinating worlds of Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Ad Reinhardt, Yayoi Kusuma, Claes Oldenburg and Robert Mapplethorpe. In addition, we have worked closely in supporting the work and ambitions of contemporary artists, notably David Hammons, Sterling Ruby, Cady Noland, Kaari Upson, Conrad Shawcross, Glenn Ligon and many more. In recent years, together with our longstanding affiliates and collaborators, we have developed an authoritative grasp of the most exciting practices in young art, and in chorus with their galleries, helped foster their development, to realise major museum projects and acquisitions.

Emboldened by meaningful relationships with artists’s studios, galleries, and auction houses,  Lindon & Co., has been able to activate site-specific projects, bespoke private and public commissions, and has provided significant structural and procedural advice on legacy and philanthropic planning and engagement. 

At this key juncture in the story of art and its evolution, we really believe that art cannot be considered solely a transaction. It is a point of connection with new theatres of ideas, with histories, and with the treasures of human endeavour. Art provides us all with elevation to the highest points of civilisation and humanity. In an age increasingly driven by money, anxiety and the division of peoples, art creates the possibility of a watering-hole for diverse communities to gather, not bound by ethnicity, gender or religiosity. It offers a portal for escape to new and imagined worlds.
